What can you offer?

Here’s a more detailed outline of what we would need of you as a volunteer:

  • Help distribute flyers – we will bring you a bundle of flyers and posters.  You take a wander round your local area for a couple of hours in your own time, putting flyers and posters in shops, pubs, restaurants, etc.

  • Hospitality –  You offer a bed for one or more nights to an improviser/performer who has travelled to Birmingham to be in a show.  They would need a proper bed, in a proper room, rather than a sofa or an airbed on the floor.  We will put you in touch with the person, and you can arrange things like keys amongst yourself.

  • Staff the Welcome Desk – You will sat at the welcome desk for the duration of one or more shows, welcoming both audience and performers, guiding them as to where to go, and answering any questions they have.  You would need to arrive 30 minutes before the show started, and so each shift would be 90 minutes. You can volunteer for as many shifts as you like.

All volunteers will recieve a free t-shirt, and will have free access to any show that isn’t sold out, on a stand-by basis.
