The Festival Line Up is HERE!!!

We are delighted to announce the official line-up for the inaugural Birmingham Improv Festival, October 21st – 23rd, 2016

And what better way to celebrate improv in Birmingham than by enjoying the return of the Black Country’s greatest export, superstar improviser JOSIE LAWRENCE, as she returns to Birmingham with THE GLENDA J COLLECTIVE?

Glenda J Collective

THE GLENDA J COLLECTIVE are four superheroes of Improv, ready to smash your minds with songs, sketches and japes created right there on the spot. Featuring Josie Lawrence (Whose Line Is It Anyway? Comedy Store Players), Pippa Evans (Showstopper, Drunk History), Ruth Bratt (Showstopper, People Just Do Nothing) and Cariad Lloyd (Austentatious, Peep Show), the mind-smashing will take place Saturday October 22nd at 6pm.

With a BBC Radio Four series and eight years of festivals and touring to their name, THE SHOWSTOPPERS have delighted audiences around the world with their ingenious, unique blend of comedy, musical theatre and spontaneity and we are thrilled that they will also be joining us Saturday October 22nd at 8pm.

Direct from their sell-out run in the West End, Olivier Award Winning THE SHOWSTOPPERS will be bringing us a brand new musical, created on the spot by their incredible, musical comedians. Audience suggestions will be transformed instantly into all-singing, all-dancing show with unpredictable and hilarious results.  And if you want to learn the skills that made THE SHOWSTOPPERS such a success, you can join them for a Workshop in Improvised Musical Theatre earlier in the day, from 1-3pm.

Meanwhile, at 4pm on Sunday October 23rd we are joined by five-time sell-out veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and one of the country’s most sought after comedy club headliners,  THE NOISE NEXT DOOR.
